Max was asked to download a dating app so a friend could get "points". Ashley downloaded the same dating app because a friend recommended it to her. They both matched each other and eventually met for a first date in New York City. A few months later and they were on their way to Peru. They both had a feeling that they were right for each other after Max took care of Ashley when she got sick on a 70km trek through the Salkantay Range. Since then they have been living in the Big Apple while also traveling around the world on their time off.
